Why do paper mills need to use paper-making bactericides

发布日期:2026-07-21 阅读数量:

Papermaking bactericides are a new generation of chemical agents used for sterilization and mold prevention in papermaking. They possess excellent characteristics such as high efficiency, broad spectrum, and low toxicity, capable of killing and eliminating harmful bacteria in pulp within a short period of time. There are many types of papermaking bactericides, which can be divided into inorganic bactericides and organic bactericides based on their molecular structures. The following is an explanation from the editor of Xiangze Chemical on why papermaking plants need to use papermaking bactericides:

Efficient broad-spectrum bactericides are typically non-oxidizing bactericides, whose bactericidal mechanism involves increasing the permeability of cell membranes, cutting off the supply of nutrients to cell tubes, disrupting intracellular metabolism, or altering the protein structure of cells to prevent intracellular energy production and limit enzyme synthesis. Therefore, such bactericides are very effective against planktonic microorganisms and biofilms. They not only restrict and eliminate existing biofilms but also penetrate into the interior of biofilms to react with anaerobic microorganisms trapped within. For a certain non-oxidizing bactericide used in papermaking, its effectiveness is limited to certain microorganisms, which is different from oxidizing bactericides.

Xiangze Chemical reminds everyone that compound paper-making bactericides, which are environmentally friendly, efficient, and have a wide range of applications, will have great development potential in the paper-making industry.
